Staffware: Teething problems 7 years on
Staffware is a software package which tracks the progress of Grant Applications through the ESRC. Like everything else in the organisation, it works in geological time. It was introduced 7 years ago & is still encountering teething problems.
The ESRC was re-oorganised in October 2003. However the IT people haven't updated Staffware since that time so all the mail merged letters generated have to be manually edited. Another feature is the template letter prints addresses at the wrong place thus missing the letter box window in envelopes.

Food Archive (ESRC Email)
This morning myself and another colleague removed the out of date items from the fridge opposite RTD, the fridge is now half empty because the other half of its contents were out of date, such as chicken going back to July also milk and yoghurt dating back to October.
Can I remind colleagues that use this fridge to ensure that you remove any out of date items that are in there and throw them in the bin.
